We're looking for a motivated Account Associate to join our team.

You'll work directly with clients as a trusted partner, managing administrative workflows, crafting compelling pitches, and helping build lasting relationships with journalists across the technology media landscape.

What You Bring

  • 1-3+ years of experience in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to grammar, style, and professional standards
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities to juggle multiple client accounts and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and translate technical concepts into accessible, compelling narratives
  • Research skills to quickly understand new industries, companies, and media landscapes
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to support senior leadership while taking initiative on assigned projects
  • Interest in technology sectors including AI, defense tech, telecommunications, and financial services
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and willingness to represent the firm at industry events
  • Experience with media monitoring tools and journalist relationship management is a plus

What You'll Do

Administrative Management

  • Develop call agendas and call recaps outlining topics to be addressed by both parties
  • Create briefing sheets prior to client speaking opportunities, including call details, reporter profiles, and expected soundbites
  • Maintain comprehensive spreadsheets tracking all present and past client coverage

Pitching & Media Relations

  • Craft compelling pitches for clients on bylines, commentary, op-eds, and media opportunities
  • Begin cultivating relationships with reporters and journalists who cover LCS clients
  • Research and identify relevant media opportunities aligned with client objectives

Client Support

  • Assist in facilitating client calls, working through agendas and taking detailed notes
  • Present updates to clients on pitching status, awards, upcoming events, and coverage
  • Provide responsive communication and support across all client touchpoints

Content Development

  • Ghostwrite bylines, op-eds, and commentary pieces in the voice of respective clients
  • Provide editorial support to clients, incorporating feedback and ensuring grammatical precision
  • Adapt messaging for different audiences and publication formats

Media Monitoring & Research

  • Deliver daily media monitoring updates with relevant industry stories related to LCS clients
  • Include article summaries, relevance analysis, reporter details, outlet information, and publishing dates
  • Research potential clients and provide in-depth company analysis before business development outreach

Business Development

  • Attend events and summits in person, representing LCS Communications
  • Support new business initiatives with research and strategic analysis
